I tried to write a sonnet, but it is so difficult! Here is my first attempt. I hope you like it.
Rose's Search
A lonely traveller through all of time
If company desired not deceased
Find will he, by heaven he will be mine
My love so rare it's hard to be at peace
He vanished a year ago on the shore
To Peter's globe, unfamiliar faces
To turn my back and grieve forever more
Crippled but must move on to new places
I will return for of the Lonely God
Impossible refused to impede him
Following the footsteps of where he trod
I shall wait and my heart will receive him
Although hope spills out in dazzling white light
I can't help but think, we have lost our fight.
