Darkness surrounded her as she was plunged into the water, carrying the price of weightlessness on her shoulders. Flashes of bright white light shone in periodic bursts through the small windows of the fallen bird, as she clambered upon the steel wing, a blinding smile plastered on her face. She stared up to the stars as another light flooded her soaking body and her grin grew as the golden glow consumed her. As the windswept figure she currently was, she decided to head back home to dry off, knowing that her sister was now safe. So she shot up into the sky avoiding any close ups with any cameras as she flew off the water and into an abandoned alley way so she could finish her journey running at super-speed.

Opening a few blocks ahead from where she was, a black suited figure sped out of a blue swirling breach and skidded to a halt, his whole body vibrating. He paused, as the breach closed behind him. An evil glint shining in his black pools of eyes as they lit up with joy - a new earth. However, he was drawn out of his thoughts by a figure speeding past him at an inhumane pace. 'Not fast enough' he thought as he easily sped after them.

Blue lightning flashed beside her as a creepily masked face peered into hers. A confused look consumed her face as she started to wonder who this was and why they could not only keep up, but be faster than her. The unknown body gradually inched closer to her as she tried to speed away, miserably in her efforts; they were just faster than her. She sighed in defeat and ground to a halt in a near by street, not wanting this person to know where she lived.

Looking closer at the figure, she could tell it was masculine, the black leather, fireproof jacket, black, loose pants and wide shoulders. His hands had talon like claws as if made for slitting throats for fun. Upon his head, two black mirrored lightning bolts were plastered over where his ears should be. The black mask covered the whole of his head, back included, with only holes for his black orbs and mouth, which looked like an animal had ripped slashes in the material with their claws. Focusing onto his eyes, only someone with the same pain could tell the traumatic experiences he had witnessed, the tragedy was fogged by his desires and dreams reflected in his soulless marbles.

He held out his hand towards her, vibrating his vocal chords. "What is your name?" His distorted voice echoed off the narrow walls, bouncing off of dirty green trash cans. "Kara" She replied meekly, still cautious of the man. "Well, Kara," He paused. "I'm going to take you somewhere you have never been before and help you increase your speed. And don't argue with me because I will find your family and I will hurt them in ways you can't even comprehend in that pretty little blonde head of yours." Nodding in submission, not wanting to jeopardise the safety of her family, she took the out stretched hand and was swept up off the floor as the blue lightning started to streaky out behind them and they were consumed by a blue swirling mess.
