Prompt: Serenity

Derek smiled as he looked at Penelope's newest addition to her little den of knowledge.

She was constantly adding new things to her walls—pictures of the team, pictures she'd drawn, interesting facts she'd found online, or little sayings like this one.

i Grant to me the serenity of to accept that which cannot be changed; the courage to change that which can be changed, and the wisdom to know the differnce /i .

"That's new," he said, pointed at the little bit of paper, "I like it."

She smiled, "A friend online sent it to me. He couldn't believe that I'd never heard it before."

"He?" Derek asked, leaning on her desk, his hands reaching out to play with her hand.

Penelope smiled up at him, "Don't be jealous, ggorgeous, he's just a friend. Besides we were discussing how much you liked my new saying."

"I do, serenity, that's a nice thought."

"Thought you might like it. It rememinded me of the team. You work so hard, but sometimes you have to live with losses, I wanted to bring a little serenity in here."

He leaned down and kissed her nose, "You didn't need a saying for that, goddess, just you, just you."
