I've given up writing chapter stories so I wrote a curious little number instead. It's quite absurd, but I'm not in the mood for big stuff. It always happens when you lose a competition.
Just What You Need
There was a bird that came to me. There was a shadow in the trees. I called to it and it disappeared. That's what happened in my dream.
The odd rhyme, fixed between Twilight's frontal and parietal quadrants of his brain, kept repeating itself, going on and on…
"Glaux!" He muttered to himself, trying to rid his brain of the odd, dreamlike voice that was capturing his senses and ripping his thoughts away from him.
There was a bird that came to me. There was a shadow in the trees –
Shaking his head, Twilight flew from his perch on the exterior of the tree and dived into the hollow beneath him, not caring who's hollow he had recklessly crashed into.
It was Otulissa's hollow; and as Twilight swooped in, suddenly creating a monstrous whirlpool of air, she jumped from her perch and flew out the sky port.
"Oh my frinkin' Glaux!" She threw him a venomous glare and flew off towards the direction of the library, "How DARE you! This is absolutely absurd, Twilight! What are you playing at? You scared the frinkin' nightlights out of me!"
This had done the trick. The odd chant was rid of Twilight's head, and he was sane enough to reply, "What do you mean?" But Otulissa had already flown off.
A lone piece of paper fluttered down from Otulissa's original perch. Twilight, being a curious owl, hopped towards the fragment of paper and peered to at it.
There was a bird that came to me. There was a shadow in the trees. I called to it and it disappeared. That's what happened in my dream.
"Glaux Almighty!"
Hope you enjoyed that.
