Set during Curse of the black pear find in an old notebook – Jack wants to know more about Will dislike for pirates.

"Have you ever met a pirate before?" asked Jack he and Will were still travailing the sea. Jack was used to people disliked him for being a pirate and they were fear across the sea. But with Will it seem more personal.
"You're the first I meet face to face" said Will blankly
"So you have some history with them" said Jack
Will eyes darken "If you are going on about my father again I..."
Jack hold he's hands out "You stated that off, and I wasn't talking about old bootstrap" Jack looked at Will who was giving him a puzzled look. "For someone who ever meet one pirate face to face, you seem to have a personal hatred for them, what happen?"
"Why should I tell you?" asked Will
"Why ever not?" asked Jack "Why do you hate pirates so much?"
Will turn his back on Jack looking out into sea. "When I was going here, from England the ship I was on was attack out of the blue..."Will turn he's head to look at Jack "By pirates" and he looked back toward the sea again. "I was the only one who lived. All my friends that I made, people who have helped me...died"
Jack didn't speck for a moment what ever Will was going to say he didn't accepted that. "So who saved a lost boy at sea?" asked Jack
"Elizabeth and her father" said Will
"And now we are saving Elizabeth Swan" said Jack to himself "You know William not all pirate are as bad as you think they are"
"How can I be sure?" asked Will
"Because you've trusted me to help you" said Jack "And you commanded a ship, and you're a pretty good fighter if I say so myself"
"Dose make me a pirate" said Will still looking out to sea deep in though.
"No" agreed Jack "But you're well on your way to be, my mate"
