The Christmas Drama

Kurt Hummel was driving back home from school after a very Christmassy day at McKinley high school. Kurt was so happy; his boyfriend, Blaine Anderson, had just given him a promise ring for his Christmas present. As Kurt reached his home, he parked his car and entered the house. Kurt looked at his ring as it glimmered in the light, but what he didn't realise was his step brother Finn coming down the stairs.

'Hey Kurt how was school?' Finn asked

'Fine, great actually' Kurt replied with a wide grin, he held out his hand to admire the ring, totally ignoring Finn's presence once again.

Finn noticed the ring and a confused expression spread across his face.

'Kurt, what's that? Did Blaine….' Kurt didn't answer. Finn's face was frozen with shock until Finn decided to shout. 'Burt! BURT!'

'Finn shhh! Keep your voice down' Kurt said with an angered tone.

'BURT!'

'What Finn?' Burt said from the stairs as he walked down.

'Burt! Blaine proposed! Kurt's getting married!' Finn said shocked and alarmed

'What?' Burt and Kurt said simultaneously.

'Kurt, he proposed? And you said yes? You're a bit young don't you think? Did he pressure you into this? I'll get my shot gun!' Burt yelled

'Dad. Dad! He didn't propose! It's a promise ring!' Kurt screamed, trying to calm down the others with their assumptions.

Finn looked confused and Burt had the same clueless expression.

'He didn't propose, Blaine gave me a promise ring as a Christmas present, He got it as a symbol of love, to show that I can walk proudly down the halls of McKinley, with this ring on my finger and I can say 'That boy is my boyfriend' and I agreed with this because he is as open as me and I love him'

Finn still looked oblivious but shrugged and walked away. Burt was looking at Kurt with his plain expression and put his hand on Kurt's shoulder.

'You love him?' Burt asked

'Yes I love him and he loves me'

'Ok then. As long as you're happy, but are careful ok?'

'Ok dad' Kurt smiled and gave Burt a hug

Burt smiled and looked down at his son thinking; my son is in love. With all the hatred, he deserves happiness and Blaine is finally giving him that happiness.
