A/N: Hi xD I was only just recently introduced to this wonderful anime, so please forgive me if something in the fic is not entirely correct, I loved the idea so much that I just had to start writing a fanfic right away! xD DISCLAIMER: I do not, in any way, shape, or form, own Rosario + Vampire. The plot and characters belong to their original owner(s). All I own are my OCs. Thanks! ^^ (P.S. I know the whole baby-tearing-out-of-mom thing is a little too Twilight-ish, but whatever, okay? xD I didn't mean it at the time I thought of it… So yeah.. Review please! Thanks ^^)
Today is the day.
My first day at Yokai Academy.
Growing up, my relatives had often told me stories of their days at Yokai. I remember eagerly listening as a six-year-old to my stepmother's tales of her pack ruling the school. My real mother died when I was born. I ripped her apart, quite literally.
I used to love to hear my father talk about her; the way his face would light up, the tender way he spoke of her. My mother was a human, but when my father met her overseas he couldn't help himself. He fell passionately in love with her. He said she wasn't like all the others. She wasn't scared of him, and, moreover, beautiful for a human, with her waist-length black curls and electric blue eyes. He loved her because she was different.
Not long after Rosette and James Cerav were married, Rosette conceived a child, who the young couple happily named Alice-Rose. They spent the entire nine months preparing the baby's room, crooning over her, and wondering what she would be like. But when it came time for Rosette to give birth, she screamed in pain as the child tore out of her, killing her in the process.
My father, James, was left to marry another, a werewolf named Sophia McConnor. About a year later, I was a big sister to a young half-vampire, half-werewolf named Anna.
My new stepmother was far more kindhearted and sweet than I'd expected her to be, and she filled a bit of the gap my mother left behind. She did all she could to help my father raise us, to see her little girls grow up big and strong.
But it just wasn't the same.
Now I finger my dark ponytail and tap my foot impatiently, waiting for Anna to finish her makeup so we can finally go.
She finally stalks out five minutes later, wearing a hint of purple eyeshadow along with some mascara, and raises a light brown eyebrow in my direction. "Can I help you?"
I roll my eyes, but can't help smiling. "We have to go," I say, taking her hand and pulling her out the door, grabbing our books on the way. "Please try not to chase any cats in public this time. It's kinda embarrassing," I add, glancing at Anna.
"I'm sorry… I couldn't help it…" she mumbles. "It was just… right there… and taunting me…"
"Keep it on the D.L., okay, Wolfie?" I ask jokingly as we finally set foot out the door.
She rolls her eyes in response. At least there'll be someone I can play pranks on…
