So, this takes place after HTTYD 2 and the battle with Drago.
Disclaimer: I do not own HTTYD.
I wish I did, but I don't.
It was a bright and sunny day on Berk. Hardly a cloud in the sky. Down in the village, we see all the kids and their mothers with each other, helping each other. It was Mothers Day.
In the Haddock household, we see Valka in her bed, alone. Stoick had already left to take care of the village. Valka woke to a wonderful smell coming from the kitchen downstairs. She got, got dressed and headed down to the kitchen.
But before she could enter the kitchen, Toothless came out of nowhere and pushed her towards the stairs.
"Toothless, what's going on?" She asked.
*Go back to bed. Hiccup has a surprise for you* (A/N: Valka can speak Dragon in this story)
"Alright, alright! I'm going" Valka then headed back up the stairs and into bed. While she was waiting, she kept on thinking 'What's so special about today?'
Her thoughts were interrupted by someone knocking on her door. "Come in" she called.
The door opened and Hiccup came in with a tray of food. It had scrambled eggs, bacon, cooked fish, and some warm Yak milk. "Morning mom."
"Good morning, Hiccup. I don't want to seem rude or ungrateful, but, what's all this?"
"What does it look like? It's breakfast in bed." Hiccup answered like it was obvious.
"I know that. I mean, why?" Valka was so confused.
Hiccup looked at her. "Don't you know what day it is?"
She thought for a moment. It definitely wasn't Snoggletog, so what is it. After a minute of thought, Valka gave up and shook her head.
"It's Mothers Day!" Hiccup exclaimed.
'Mothers Day?' She thought. Then she remembered. It was a day to celebrate all the mothers and to thank them. She had forgotten about it completely in the years she was with the dragons. She never thought she would see Hiccup again so she forgot about it.
"You alright, mom?" Hiccup asked, bringing Valka out of her thoughts.
"Hmm? Oh, yes. I'm alright son. Thank you." She smiled.
She then started eating her breakfast. To say to least it was good. More than that. It tasted fantastic.
"Hiccup, I honestly don't know where you got your cooking skills from. If I recall correctly, neither me nor you father could cook."
"So, it's good?" Hiccup asked hopefully.
"It's more than good, Hiccup!"
"Gobber taught me"
"That explains it" She laughed.
"So, what do you want to do today?" Hiccup asked.
"Honestly Hiccup, I don't know. I never thought I would be able to spend Mothers Day with my son. This would be my first Mothers Day."
"It's alright mom. We'll figure out something to do."
And so they did. The rest of the day they just hung out with each other. They went to the cove to tell some stories. They flew around on their dragons and did tricks. Had some hand to hand combat. Even Stoick joined in on that. At the end of the day, they went to a cliff at the end of the forest overlooking the sea to star gaze.
"Thank you, Hiccup."
Hiccup looked at her. "What for?"
"For making my first Mothers Day the best"
He smiled.
"Happy Mothers Day, mom."
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
I know it's short but still, the best I could do.
Have any complaints, put them in the reviews.
