Note: This is a small fic using Brass, who I've never used before and my friend Emx has challenged me to write about so I did. So please read and review this to tell me if you liked or if you didn't to tell me as kindly as possible why you didn't like it.
Strange strangers"Well that was certainly an interesting one." Brass heard a tall cop say to his partner as he came out of an interview room.
His partner then responded with, "Yeah, but I think she liked you."
"I think you might be right." The tall cop groaned.
"Hey, how's the interrogation going, is she talking?" Brass greeted the two officers as they came nearer.
"About her ability to communicate with ghosts. Yeah. Anything useful. No." The tallest of the pair of officers answered.
Brass was momentarily silent due to the comment but was quick to bring himself to speak again.
"Well, we can always look on the bright side she seems to like Tom here because she read his palm and says he gonna be the one to catch the guy who's behind this." The other cop replied giving Tom a friendly nudge on the shoulder.
"In all my years I've never meet anyone as odd as her." Tom said.
"Well I've seen my fair share of psychic's and mediums but it's just a occupational letdown, you know. In order to provide a service to the public it means we have to talk to the public and, well, some of the public who you meet aren't gonna be what you're expecting." Brass advised them.
The two young officers exchanged a glance at this then the shorter one said, "Well yeah but she really believes she can do it and it's just strange."
"I've gotta say most people I meet I understand on some level and can deal with, but her, in there, she's just a mystery." The cop called Tom explained.
"Trust me, most women are and it's better for us if they stay that way." Brass finished and turned and left the two tired men to their jobs.
