notes: As the clock struck, marking the beginning of New Year— I pressed play and watched the film for the first time. Because the last book I read was Howl's Moving Castle, the first movie must be Howl's Moving Castle. (I told myself I won't watch the film till, I read the book.) I thought it was only natural that the first fanfic of the year should be this, too. And I fell in love with Howl, twice. And dreamed of moving castles.

Her name is Sophie— and she's nothing but, another wallflower that has magic in the way she speaks, in the way she lives and talks to hats. Her name is Sophie and she's nothing but another wallflower, who just so happens to be mad as a hatter, with the prettiest red-gold hair ever. Her name is Sophie and she's nothing but another wallflower, the oldest of three sisters, who just so happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Howl thinks she's actually quite pretty when she smiles and when her hair is loose and free.
Sophie thinks she's just another wallflower.

Their names are Sophie and Howl and together— they are something beautiful, something whose future is nothing, but a mystery. It's a wonderful, fantastical mystery, with subtle hints of beauty around every corner.
The only wish is that you stay around long enough to see the hearts grow.
