As always I own nothing …
Another long day was almost over at Horizon. Shelby was on her bed writing or at least trying to. Peter had given the Cliffhangers a new assignment earlier. They had to write a story about themselves, happy or sad, something that happened in their past. But Shelby had other things in mind as she grabbed her pen. She was thinking of Scott and the first time they kissed, how magic it had been, how she'd never felt that way before…
"What are you doing?" Juliette asked. "Nothing twig, go bother someone else" Shelby said back. Juliette rolled her eyes as she went beside Daisy.
Shelby decided not to care and started writing…
Scott,
What would you do if I told you how much I miss you when you're not with me and how much it kills me to lay here all alone when all I want is to feel your arms around me, your lips kissing mine, your hands on my skin…
What would you do if I told you that you mean everything to me and you make me happy.
You look at me the way nobody else does. When you look at me it's like you really see me. You take me as I am and you give me confidence. You make me better.
And what would you do if I told you that I love you?

She waited for everyone to be gone to go to the boys' dorm and leave the letter under Scott's pillow.
They had group after dinner and like always Peter asked them to start by telling how they felt. Juliette went first.
"Tired, Auggie"
"Sleepy, Daisy"
"Bored, Ezra"
"Sad, Scott"
"Tired I guess, Shelby"
"Same, Kat"
"Feeling ok, David"
"Don't know, don't care" Peter glared at him and David just shrugged.
Then, it was bedtime. As Scott was trying to sleep he felt something under his pillow. A piece of paper. What could it be? It was dark in the dorm and he didn't want to wake anyone up so he went to the bathroom to see what it was all about.
A letter from Shelby, cool, he thought.
As Scott read the words he couldn't believe it was coming from Shelby. She wasn't sharing much about herself and her feelings. She was keeping a lot to herself so he was surprised and it was good.
As his eyes read the last words he couldn't help a smile to show on his face. Nobody else saw and it was best that way. He knew he had to see her, right now. He wanted to hold her… He quietly left the bathroom to go see her, kiss her, and feel her against him.
On his way to the girls' dorm he saw some light at the docks. Then, a whisper 'Scott, is that you?'. He knew that voice, it was Shelby. He walked faster to get to her. "I love you too, Shelby" he managed to say as she grabbed him to kiss him hard.
It was beautiful there, candles and roses and everything. Shelby had planned everything right, it was magic. "Ready for a night of passion?" she asked. "Hell yea, but what if someone comes around?" he asked. "Everyone's asleep, scared of getting caught?" she teased him. They kissed again and started unbuttoning each other's clothes.
"You're so beautiful" he whispered in her ear before kissing her neck.
