It had been a long day at the ED, there was a major incident involving multiple young school children and not all of them could be saved. This, added to Cal's current life goal to drive him insane, made Dr Ethan Hardy desperate to get away from it and go home. There he could have something to eat, relax and spend time with his girlfriend, Cierra, another one of the Holby City Doctor's.
When he got home, he discovered that Cierra was asleep on the sofa, with soft music playing in the background and a pizza box with a note telling him that she'd already eaten, but she had saved some for him to reheat. Ethan busied himself in the kitchen and ate, before returning to the lounge. He noticed that Cierra had disappeared from her spot on the sofa, when she reappeared next to him, he jumped. This caused them to both laugh, the smaller woman reaching up to peck him on the lips.
"Dance with me?," The blush on her face whilst she asked, covered by her red hair as she peered up at Ethan. He went to shake his head but she added a "Please?," to her plea. Ethan nodded, knowing he couldn't deny her much.
"You will have to teach me though, dancing was never really my thing." The pair moved from the lounge to the kitchen, where there was more room for them to 'dance'. Cierra let out a gentle laugh as Ethan stood awkwardly, not having a single idea about what to do. She walked up close to him and grasped his hands.
"Okay," Cierra's voice to on an educated tone, "Your right hand goes here," She positioned his arm at shoulder height, "And the other hand goes here," The two made eye contact, the awkwardness in Ethan lessening as he grew more comfortable in this new situation.
"I assume you are going to lead?,"Ethan enquired once Cierra stopped positioning their arms.
"For now, but when you get the hang of it, we can switch." Cierra took a moment to think about the steps as she usually didn't lead. "So, first, your right foot back," The first step was successful and Ethan grinned, proud of himself for not stepping on her feet.
As they continued Ethan seemed to get the hang of it and the simple steps evolved in to turns and twirls. Ethan had attempted to lead, but he had a bit more trouble with it, leaving the pair in a fit of laughter. It didn't stop them though, they danced late through the night, finally blowing off some steam. As the night progressed, they got less giddy and more tired, being pulled into the moment, slowing down their movements.
The couple soon came to a complete stop, passion burning in both sets of eyes. Ethan pressed his lips against Cierra's and she reciprocated.
"I love you"
"I love you too"
