Disclaimer: The only Twilight Saga I own consists of my battered paperback set, and only Jasper I own is the one inside my head *sob*. All characters belong to Stephenie Meyer, basically, and I'm just borrowing them for a bit.
Can't work out the formatting, so // is going to have to be used to indicate breaks between stanzas. Apologies for the less than satisfactory layout that occurs as a result of this.
Hope you like the poem. Any comments and criticisms welcome.

The Solitary Southern Soldier
I've crashed and burned,
a flame gutted shell of a vessel,
stripped and empty now.
I want someone to fill me up.
//
The red flood:
A gushing tide
carried on the currents of war.
//
I've been wandering now,
no station or position,
orders or direction.
Someone please bring me to attention.
//
Scarlet life source,
the basis of need,
an unquenchably sinful desire.
//
I've lost my mind
as the memories melded
into one incoherent scream.
I want someone to calm the soldier's fears.
//
Rubies beyond price,
a bank-vault of flesh
that my teeth have broken into.
//
I have to fracture the solitude;
I'll keep food company for warmth.
An old-style diner, dark and crowded…
//
Who is she?
