This is a gift to yavin4 for letting me use Tabi Akumu as a sensei in The Fox and the Hound. Please do not flame this because I do not appreciate people complaining about a story that was meant to be something nice for someone letting me use an oc of theirs. I think this turned out really well and will make sense to readers once I actually get the chapter that I introduce her out. I hope you like this as well, yavin4.
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto nor do I own Tabi Akumu as she is yavin4's oc.
"What did Kakashi sensei tell us we had to do, Akumu sensei?" Naruto absentmindedly asked.
Tabi Akumu's eye twitched, "Brat, how many times have I asked you to call me Tabi sensei, not Akumu sensei?"
The blond paled, "D-did I call you Akumu sensei? I meant to call you Tabi sensei. Please don't hurt me!"
Naruto's temporary teacher sighed but let it go for now, "He said something about 'socks' fishing. From what I gather, it is just a regular fishing trip, but he never told me who the client was."
"Lazy pervert," Naruto muttered, his eyes squinted as he gave up trying to figure out who the client was. "So how are we going to be fishing anyways?"
He started backing up at the crazed look on Akumu's face, "You'll see."
…
Naruto burst out of the water and jumped onto the previously dry land as he watched the last fish get pinned onto a nearby tree by a kunai.
"Good work," his sensei brushed a stray strand of her dark purple hair out of her eyes as she inspected the fish. "This was the largest fish yet."
"Does that mean I can get dressed now?" Naruto asked as he stood wearing nothing but a pair of sopping wet froggy boxers.
"If you don't want to return to Konoha as you are right now, I would say you should."
Naruto gulped as he watched Akumu pull off the fish and raced to where he left his clothes. He knew from experience that she would pick him up and carry him to town if he wasn't dressed quickly enough. 'If you are slow getting ready when you aren't in danger, how will you be fast enough when you are?' was what she had said when he had complained.
Fortunately, Naruto managed to finish getting dressed when he heard the yell to leave.
"You're getting faster," Akumu absently noticed as they neared Konoha.
Naruto grinned, "Of course I am! I'm going to be the Hokage, so I have to be the best at everything I do."
"Is that so?" the purple haired jounin smiled at him. "I suppose you will have to work even harder at your chakra control. If you can't get better at that, you will never be Hokage."
"Why are you so mean, Tabi sensei?" Naruto asked as he visibly wilted.
Akumu acted innocently, "Mean? I have no idea what you are talking about!"
"SENSEI!"
…
"This is why you're mean," Naruto muttered while nursing a large lump on the top of his head.
Akumu looked back at him, "It's your fault for yelling at me."
The blond pouted and continued following her as they wandered around hoping to find some clue as to who the client was. Unfortunately, they didn't find anything and were just about to give up when they passed Tabi Tabi, her brothers' store.
"He didn't," was all Naruto heard before she rushed into the store.
"Tabi sensei!" he called while racing after her. "Wait up for me!"
Naruto paused at the sight in front of him. Akumu was seething while her younger brother was sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.
Noticing Naruto's entrance, the teen decided to explain, "Kakashi decided that he would reference the fact that our name is means 'traveling' but it could also mean 'sock' if you use a different kanji."
"I'M GOING TO KILL THAT LAZY PERVERT!" Akumu yelled before rushing out of the store.
Naruto waved at her brother, "I'm sorry for not staying, but I have to make sure Tabi sensei doesn't kill Kakashi sensei."
Her brother could only chuckle as the orange and blond blur left the shop.
