In a golden land,
By the sword,
Through timely sand,
A legend dwells
With blade in hand.
Filled with courage,
Brave he stands.

A princess was born.
By fate's cruel hand,
Her dreams were torn
With visions of hell,
Death, and forlorn.
The cries were heard
Of a princess's mourn.
Once upon a time
On an unmarked throne
Sits a girl
Who has early grown.
With knowledge vast,
To her is known
Of the legendary sword
Cast in legendary stone.
Once upon a time
During Hyrule's quake,
The gates had risen
For the hero's sake.
Rain like blood,
The storm would break;
A land destroyed
In evil's wake.
Once upon a time
A battle was fought,
The hero had won,
And peace once more brought.
Light filled the places
Where evil was wrought,
The hero, eternal,
As a legend now taught.
