Silence was not something that came by too often as of late in the Manor. Dealing with a newborn and a seemingly ever growing teenager, clatter was to be expected all hours of the day. Yet when Regina awoke from her fitful sleep in the early dawn hours to an empty bed and nothing but the sound of birds chirping, she became quite wary of the whereabouts of her small yet boisterous family.
Giving herself a second to think, she climbed out of bed and walked down the hall to the nursery where her wife was sure to be. Little did Regina know that the sight she was about to wander in upon would bring her such joy.
She carefully pushed open the door to the nursery and an almost inaudible gasp took her breath away at the vision before her. There knocked out on the ground encased in a sleeping bag was Henry, clutching the storybook that had brought them all together. Her newborn daughter was peacefully sleeping in the handmade cradle brought to the Manor by David the day before her birth. Then there was Emma, sweet Emma, curled up in the rocking chair next to the cradle. On the ground almost hidden by the rocking chair itself lay a notebook open to a page with script Regina would recognize anywhere.
She slipped the notebook out from under the chair and almost closed it to put on the shelf until she saw her name written inside and began to read the contents of the page.
Regina is regally radiant. Razor-sharp reactionary. Her raspy rough voice resonates ruthlessly. She is reasonably rebellious yet resiliently reserved.
Effortlessly elegant. Extraordinarily exquisite. Ever exploring our everlasting, electrical and erratic love. Exotically entertaining. Enchantingly eloquent in expressing her emotions.
Gloriously genuine. Gorgeously guarded, yet gleefully goofy. Graciously gullible while giggling greatly. Glamorously gleaming with glistening eyes.
Incredibly icy and irresistibly immaculate. Irritatingly intense when internalizing irrational irritants. Intentionally illustrious. Independently inconclusive and incompletely innocent.
Nobly naïve while nefariously naughty. Noisy nymphomaniac during numerous nocturnal needy nights. Nervously nurturing our naked newborn during nightly nourishing's.
Abrasively abrupt but, amazingly apathetic. Ambitiously adventurous absorbing affectionate attention. Aggravatingly adorable while assertively argumentative.
Who knew... Emma was a writer. And a gifted one at that. A few tears fell from Regina's eyes as she bent down to kiss Emma's forehead. "I love you so much Emma."
She cautiously exited the room with an enormous smile and full heart and made her way downstairs to begin breakfast, the smells of which would certainly soon awaken her son and wife.
