Chapter 1: Why is this my life?!
Afterlife is a very boring matter, Reika decides.
"I, I have to read all of these?" She gesticulates wildly at the towers of bookshelves before her. The large goat dressed nicely in a pressed suit nods its head sagely.
"You cannot leave this library until then. The doors will magically open for you the moment you finish reading everything in here and then you'll be able to do your God duties. If you're worried that someone will disturb your studies to become a proper God, please be rest assured – no one will be able to enter this place; this is a personal library dedicated to one God only." It tells her and begins to fade away from existence.
"Wha- wait! Hold up a second!" She cries out, hands flailing about hopelessly as she reaches for the goat. "What about food? Water? I'll starve to death! Also, I can't possibly finish all the books here! I will die before I can get to completing at least one bookshelf! There's too many!"
She points at the corridors that has bookshelves filled with countless of books as walls and then upwards to emphasise her point. The goat follows her, looking to the corridors then up.
…It couldn't see the ceiling where the bookshelves seemed to be reaching for endlessly.
The goat looks back at Reika, unamused.
"Why will you have a need for food or water?" It asks, "Are you not a God now? There is no need for such trivial things. You are also now immortal. There will be no problem in finishing all of them; you won't die even if you spend over a thousand millennium trying to read finish the books."
"Well then, I have my duties to escort those others who have died to assume their duties as Gods now. Please excuse me," it bows cordially towards her and vanishes from the library.
Reika sobs into her hands.
'But… I don't even like reading books!'
