I would like to dedicate this story to my best friend, Jean. You're awesome.

Enjoy.

"Best friends never have the same nature, they just have the best understanding of their differences."

~Unknown.

"Hary," Hermione said using a tone of voice that made Harry wonder what stressful situation they would have to deal with. Then he remembered, they weern't in school anymore and Voldemort had been dead for twenty years.

"Yeah?"

"You forgot, today's Thanksgiving, we're all having dinner at your house, remember?"

"Oh," Harry shook his head. "Then why are we at yours?"

"You, Ron, and I stayed up half the night talking and complaining about workloads."

"Like old times?"

"Exactly, except there's not some psychotic person trying to kill us, and we don't have school anymore."

Hermione sounded disappointed about not having school.

"Blimey, Hermione, do you miss school?"

"A little," she admitted. "Oh like you two didn't enjoy anything there!"

Harry and Ron looked at each other.

"We did," the said together.

"What?" Hermione asked.

"Our adventures," Ron said.

Harry nodded, "And being around the people I care about."

"Ron, do you know how many times we nearly died at school?"

"Each? Or together?"

Hermione looked taken aback. It was true, they had encountered trolls, evil professors, basilisk, a werewolf, a fixed competition, Voldmeort, deatheaters, and dangerous curses, all while trying to keep up with an education.

Hermione looked at them expectantly.

"Well during school the count was about 17 when you count a few of Harry's individual things, and all together probably 10 or 11."

"Exactly! How can you two miss that?"\

"It may have been extremely dangerous," Ron started.

"But, we did it together," Harry finished. "We added a new meaning to the saying 'through thick and thin.'"

"Yeah, Hermione told them. "We spent six years at a magical school and have more to show for it than people can understand. And yet, I don't think we ever really meant to do it."

"We didn't," Harry grumbled.

"But, you're glad we did."

"Very. So, let's get to that Thanksgiving dinner before someone thinks we've gone off reliving Hogwarts."

"True," Ron said. "And Ginny is an amazing cook."

Friendship survives anything. And these three kids proved that in every way.

A/N: Another challenge entry. But, this one I felt like writing for my best friend, for many reasons that don't need to be spoken.

Thanks for reading. (Takka vo reada)
