Snow. I was surrounded by snow. Who would've thought that following my Kate to the ends of the earth would result in me being knee-deep in snow?!
Kate and Tanya laughed at my irritated face. I couldn't feel the cold, it was just very uncomfortable.
And wet. Can't forget the wet.
Eleazer gave me a lopsided smile and I returned it. What could you do?
Kate grinned and grabbed my hand. She said something about the house not being too far away. I let her drag me, anything to get out of the endless white. We ran ahead, leaving Tanya, Carmen, and Eleazer laughing. Kate kept turning back to me, smiling beautifully. Her pale blonde hair flew behind her, sometimes getting in my face. I didn't care though.
I had her.
Once we got to the house, she slowly opened the door and grinned up at me. I gave her a lopsided smile and lowered my head to hers, kissing her gently.
I had my Kate. Mine. Even if we were surrounded by two feet of snow.
