Disclaimer: Why must I always write these, we both know that as much as i adore the characters and their stories, I am not Stephanie Meyer. I am simply another crazed fan. :D

A/N: Hello, long time no story, eh? If you've read any of my other stories (no this is not me trying to promote my other stories) then you'll know that i have trouble finishing stories. But I like this one. I promise to do my best to finish it. I love getting reviews telling me if it's good or not (again, this is not me fishing for reviewsthough if you feel the sudden urge to review, I surely won't complain). But the thing is I enjoy writing and I fully intend (at this point) to actually complete this story.

P.S: If you haven't read any of my other stories and now feel the urge to, I'll warn you that they are shit. Utter and complete shit. I like to try to write deep and/or meaningful things. But my other stories are definately all crap. Except I do rather like parts of Drowning.

P.P.S: Sorry to write such a long and uninformative author note. :)

In the dark of the forest she saw his shadow. His fleeting appearance doing nothing to help her current state. She squeezed her eyes tight, hoping to become smaller. Though she knew nothing could help her now. She cried silently waiting for it to end. She knew exactly what he wanted, he wanted to bite her.

She curled up and waited. Her tears stopped flowing and she began to drift into unconsciousness. Then she felt it. She felt his razor sharp teeth tear into her fragile skin. She felt the blood draining from her veins. She screamed in pain and terror. She began to black out from dizziness and loss of blood.

She closed her eyes and waited for the sweet release of her own demise. But just as she thought it would be the end, the teeth sunk into her neck began to tear roughly away.

She opened her eyes to see two figures, now fighting in a sickening blur. She tried to get up but a coursing pain throughout her entire body kept her down.

One of the blurs began to shred the other blur into pieces. She tried to hold back the vomit that would have formed if she weren't so very weak. She blinked and when she glanced back there was a fire and the smell of burning flesh stung her nose.

The newer blur sped over and bent to check her pulse. She was barely alive.

"I'm going to take you to my house and I'll help you there, alright?" He asked in a compassionate voice. It was like a beautiful song meant only for her. It soothed her and calmed all of her fears in the slightest way.

She was entranced and didn't answer for a few long seconds. She finally gave a timid nod and he picked her up gently, bridal style, and ran faster than she could comprehend in her half dead, half asleep state.

"I'm going to help you, I promise. My name's Edward, by the way." She could tell that he meant it. She saw that he wasn't like the other who tricked her.

"Bella," her voice was barely audible but he heard it. He knew he needed to save her because she was the most amazing creature he'd ever laid eyes on. Just from the sound of her crystal voice he knew he was in love with this beautiful, wonderful Bella.
