Five minutes, she said to herself, chancing a quick glance at her watch before turning her attention back to Dean. The topic really held no interest for her, but it was the only way he would come to the library with her. Dean droned on about the Goblin Wars of 1815, a topic that Ginny really hated. In theory, she should have been listening - they had an exam on it the next day. But how could she focus with all of these butterflies in her stomach?

My goodness, he's beautiful, she thought, still staring at Dean. Should she feel bad about thinking these thoughts while her boyfriend was around? Probably. But when it came to this, she abides by no rules.

She caught snatches of what Dean was saying. "And the goblins, who consider their intelligence to far surpass that of any wizard, were really annoyed by this. So naturally, they revolted. This led to the..." he droned on and on, leaving Ginny to her thoughts. Honestly, she thought, why is any of this necessary for the future? It's really quite stupid actually. Finally, Dean closed his book and looked up. "Do you get it?" he asked, twirling a strand of her hair around his finger. Ginny nodded, even though she hadn't processed a word he said.

Finally, she heard the door to the library open, and Hermione's voice carried to her ears. Right on time, she thought with a smile, time to kick this plan into action.

Ginny leaned forward towards Dean and said, "you know, I never actually thanked you for teaching this to me."

"Oh it's really no problem," he replied, blushing a little.

She paused for a split second to listen, and heard footsteps coming closer. "Well let me thank you properly," she murmured.

One...she brushed his hair out of his eyes; two...she leaned in a little closer; and three...she kissed him full on the lips, just as the footsteps rounded the corner, then came to a sudden stop.

Ginny pulled back with a smile, then turned back to her History of Magic essay. She stole a quick look up at where Harry and Hermione were seated at a table nearby. Harry's cheeks, she noticed, looked a little red. Ginny quickly looked down again, but not before she saw Hermione wink and flash her a little thumbs up, indicating that everything had went exactly according to plan

Perfect.

A/N Hope you guys liked it as much as I did writing it! :) I love giving Ginny character, I feel like she could have been much larger of a character in the book. Please review, that would be totally awesome :D Even if you hate it, that's cool too :)

Yours in writing,

Gigi :)
