Annabeth's Pov
Percy was walking on the edge of the lake with Grover. "This is my chance, the time I prank Percy Jackson." I said quietly. I ran towards him, but he sidestepped me and I fell into the lake. The Water Nymphs held me up. Percy looked down into the water. I yelled, " Surprise!" I pulled him into the water. When we came out, we saw the entire camp laughing at Percy. Connor said, " Dude, you just got pranked by your girlfriend, man!" Drew yelled, "Kiss her! Kiss her!" Connor said, "C'mon dude it's fine, I do it all the time!" Percy kissed me. I kissed him back. It was…. magical, up until a new camper ruined it. Chiron introduced her. Chiron yelled over the commotion, "This is our new camper: Claire , she's thirteen years old, correct?" She nodded. Then, I saw Nico staring at her. She caught his eye, and Nico turned away, suddenly distracted by his shoes. All the campers met her. First she met: Percy and me. I said, "Your thirteen, great timing for this age." Then Percy said, "I caught where you were looking, don't worry, it's all good." He smiled at her. She suddenly turned almost as pale as Nico. She blinked a few times, her color returned. She said softly, " Haz…" She walked toward Nico, and punched him in the face. She yelled, "How could you betray me!" "I didn't betray you, whoever you are!" " You don't remember…" she said softly, " You never did, Nico!" He tried to remember. Rachel read his memories. "A forest, a dark-skinned brown-haired girl, and you, ran away, Nico from Bianca, and met… her. Hazel met her too…" "Hazel!" I called. Hazel came over. "What's wrong?" she asked "Is the new camper here?" I pointed to Geneviere. She just stepped back. "Hazel…" she said. Hazel looked at her. She looked at Nico and just stared. Then suddenly, a sign came up. She is a child of Athena. Then, Athena came : in a white toga, dressed for battle, as always. Athena said, " Come here, scared one" She just screamed. "Who is she?" she asked. "I am Athena, your mother." Athena said ," I know he betrayed you." She looked at Nico angrily. Aphrodite came with her perfect makeup. "Wait!" she said. , "These ones, she pointed at Nico and Claire, are destined to be together. " Then Hades came, "So I've heard" Poseidon came next. "A NEW CAMPER IS COMING!" "One of mine." He said. I gasped. Nico said, "Claire?"Claire said, "Well, duh" Athena said," Children of Athena don't say Duh, Geneviere. " Nico said, Well, I am going to hang out with my new/old buddy. Hades and Athena yelled in unison, " Stay!" Athena's cold eyes fixed on Nico, while Hades Dark Black hurtful eyes, faced Clair. " Zeus said, Hades your realm, Athena at my side, Poseidon, make a hurricane in Hawaii, and Aphrodite, make people fall in love, just not here, understand?" Aphrodite nodded. "This conference is over…" he said. " Claire, sorry I didn't remember, it's just that when you left with Bianca and I…" Nico said but couldn't finish. Claire kissed him. She mouthed the word silent, but angrily, "Aphrodite." There was a squeal from the Aphrodite girls, a gasp from the Athena kids, and a startled stare from Hazel. Aphrodite was still there, smiling down at them. Nico just stared at Claire, suddenly just as he did Claire yelled, "Blasted me! Why do I have to be such a big mess-up!" " I am so sorry…" she began. Then, it was Nico's turn: He kissed her back. Claire looked startled for a moment, and accepted. Aphrodite kids screamed in happiness. Nico whispered to her: " You were never a mess-up to me." She smiled, Aphrodite left. Just then Jason came. "What happened?" he asked. I said, "You have NO idea."
