Long ago, the world was nothing more than just an endless sea, cloaked in a boundless sky, reaching as far as anyone could imagine. Then, two great, powerful writing utensils came into existence. Their names were the Pencil and the Pen.

The Pencil was wise, yet prone to foolishness. He had many brilliant ideas, and was generally a pacifist.

The Pen was cruel, and loved to conquer. He believed that the world was only there for him to take over.

Fate has set them on a journey together, intending them to help one another and become better people. But fate never considered their hate for one another. Eventually, tension reached a boiling point, and they began to argue, fight, and try to kill.

Both had assembled an army, and they began to conflict. They fought endlessly and mercilessly, until Pen struck down Pencil. Believing himself victorious, Pen gloated, but was assassinated the next day. The world, marred by the war and carnage, broke apart. Each half, containing one of their lifeless bodies, drifted to opposite edges of paradox space. It seemed all was over.

But legend foretells that one day, eons after that fateful battle, a universe would arise from the ashes of the Pencil's body. This universe would eventually spawn intelligent beings that would utilize the sacred pencil. They would use them wisely to expand the knowledge of their race.

However, there would also arise a universe from the remains of the Pen. This universe would also create intelligent beings who would use the utensils of their universe's creation, but they would use them as weapons. This race would also use their writing implement wisely - but for destruction and conquering.

And just like their forebears, the two races were destined to cross paths and begin a war - one where only either race could be left standing. And just like their forebears, they would also elect two leaders.

The leader of the Pens would be cruel, just like the previous leader. His only goal in life was to demolish every last trace of those who lived from the Pencil's remains. All of his people looked up to him as a ruler, and strive to be like him.

The leader of the Pencils would be one who didn't realize his true potential, and seemed to be the worst one for the job and responsibility that came with it. But nevertheless, he was the only hope for his race.

And so, beginning with an invasion, the Legend of the Pencil God would begin...
