Here's a little idea that was floating around in my head. Can you guess who the narrator is?
Disclaimer: I own neither Harry Potter or Naruto
In my first life I was a friend and guardian to a young boy who I was proud to have had the great fortune to watch over. I met my death on the eve of his coming of age, but I was comforted by the fact that I was able to watch him grow from a scrawny little boy into a wonderfully brave young man.
That's why, when I look at this new boy through these new eyes in this new life I can't help but see the similarities. Physically, they were as different as night and day. This boy had blue eyes and blond hair. A stark contrast to the green eyes and black hair I was used to seeing. This boy was more outspoken and not as, err... academically inclined as my first ward.
They both enjoyed a good prank though. They both had less than ideal childhoods but still managed to see the good in people. Both boys lost their parents when they were babies, and both had marks that showed the connection between them and the being that killed their parents. They're both brave and good hearted.
As I looked at Uzumaki Naruto sitting alone without any lunch, I knew why I was here. I'd do my best to get to know this boy and keep him as safe and happy as I could. It really should be much easier this time around. I'm the same age, species, and we speak the same language this time. Much easier than watching over Harry in any case. Naruto couldn't possibly be as much of a trouble magnet as Harry.
A small blurb about, you guessed it, Hedwig.
