Maria's POV (Point of View)
As I jumped off the cliff all I could think about was the Monsieur De Noir, Loveday, Uncle Benjamin, Miss Heliotrope, Wrolf, and most of all Robin. Wait did i just think of Robin that way.
That was my last thought as I hit the ice cold water. And every thing went black.
Robin's POV
My eyes widen as Maria took the last step off the cliff, and seconds later she plunged into the ice cold water. I screamed out for her to stop but I was to late. Loveday tried to hold me back but failed. I ran to the edge but I could not see her. I started to strip off my hat, jacket, shoes, and scarf. I was about to jump in when I heard Loveday yell at me.
"Don't you dare jump Robin de Noir or I'll make you drink hot candle wax for a week and I'll also make you eat soap, that way you can wash your mouth out with while eating it." I winced when she said that, remembering the last time the happened, it left the taste of it in my mouth for 2 weeks. I looked over the cliff and to see some fiery red hair. I look back at everybody one last time and jump.
When I hit the water I thought I was in at the North Pole. I looked all around for but I didn't see her anywhere. Then I saw it pal blue surrounded the dark blue water.
I swam over to her as fast as I could. When I got to her she was pale and cold. I started to swim to the beach but something was pushing me back, I fought harder and harder until I could not anymore. As we went under the water I saw it out of the corner of my eye something moving. I turned around to come face to face with a small white horse.
She turned around and I started to climb onto her back. As she swam forward towards the beach. As we came to the beach I climbed off her back and set Maria down on the sand. The horse turn around and ran into the ocean.
I turned back to Maria and saw that she was still breathing. "Maria wake up please I need you. Loveday needs you so does Sir Benjamin and Miss Heliotrope. But I need you most of all." She didn't move a muscle. A tear slipped across my cheek. I quickly wiped it away.
I turned around to the noise of a twig breaking and footsteps. I see Loveday and Sir Benjamin coming out of the clearing.
"Robin your soaking wet and Maria she's so pale and cold." Loveday said as she bent down next to Maria.
"Benjamin go get my father and then we will head back to Merryweather Manor." When she was finished Sir Benjamin nodded and ran back into the woods.
Loveday turned to me after looking Marie over to see if she was hurt. "I will have to remove her corset for she can breath easier." After she said the i could feel the heat creeping up my neck to my cheeks. Loveday started to remove the top of her dress. But Maria's stopped breathing. Loveday paused and started to cry. I looked back down and turned Maria over and cut the strings of the corset off. I flipped over onto her back and pressed my mouth to hers and started to do mouth to mouth on her. I sat back on my heels while Loveday did CPR.
Soon Sir Benjamin and my father came onto the beach. After about twelve minutes Maria's eyes fluttered open. She look up and saw me. Loveday pulled her into a tight hug whispering to her over and over.
When we started back to Merryweather Manor it was well past midnight. Loveday and Miss Heliotrope were walking in the front. After them was my father and Sir Benjamin talking about something or another. That left me and a tried looking Maria. We walked for about thirty minutes or so. I looked back just in time to see her trip on a tree root. I scooped her up just before she hit her head on a large rock.
I called Loveday over. When she saw Maria she told me to run back to De Noir castle since it was ten minutes away from where we were at. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me.
When I reached the castle I told a guard to send a doctor up to my room as quickly as possible.
