Hey all...well here's the sequel-thing to This Is a Call. Seemed like quite a few ppl wanted one so i decided i'd be happy to oblige since i like this story a lot. So this is just an intro but still R and R incase things were unclear...it's just an update that bridges This is a Call to now...so yea, let me know if it's ok cuz i can change it.
INTRO
Time passed and things were great. It did take a while to get used to living at the Fort, though, but it all worked out. Graduation was amazing, a blend of sadness and excitement. I was excited though; I knew exactly what I was gonna do. I'd gotten a basketball scholarship to UCLA, so that's where I was headed. Alexa had gotten in there too, so we weren't going alone, per say.
No doubt freshman year was a big difference from high school, but it was definitely a lot of fun; meeting new people was great and my roommate, Hannah, was a blast. Alex had really found herself by the end of school, and she was making friends with ease too.
We went back to the Fort some weekends and we spent the summer there and had a great time. We spent a lot of time with Jon, since he said he felt neglected not having me around all the time; what a sweetie. The team came to quite a few of my home basketball games, though, so we saw them then too.
It was over the summer that we got an awesome surprise: Thane got accepted to UCLA and he decided to go there over San Diego State, and he was going to play football. The day we found that out was the day that Jon swore he'd get into UCLA if it was the last thing he did, claiming that it'd be just like high school again... only different. Makes sense, I guess.
I didn't have any contact with my dad anymore. He never stormed across the street and demand that we come back some, since we were, after all, his kids and he had a legal right to do that. We barely even saw him unless it was him coming and going from his car. I did, however, sum up the courage to go across the street and tell him what college I was going to. I told myself I was doing it in case some small part of him wanted to know I was doing okay, but I guess part of me still wanted to make him proud. He just nodded when I told him, and then... I left. That was it. Once I was off to college it was fair to say I never saw him anymore, but Jon said he seemed to be home more often than before.
So, careless to anything going on at my old house, sophomore year started out with the promise of great times in the year to come.
ok, i know it was short but it's just the intro, the rest will be longer and better and all that good stuff.
Review, please.
