'Kay people this is my third fan fiction. Besides from Fullmetal Alchemist and Warriors I COMPLETELY ADORE REDWALL! I learned the art of war strategies and riddles and songs and ballads and… many other things from reading this amazingly awesome series. For the people who don't like Redwall: Don't be surprised if I kill you before tomorrow.

Anyways, onto the story! By the ways each chapter will be very short so I can update once per day. YAY!

My Rose of Old Redwall

Chapter 1: The Mousemaid

~There was never a fairy tale that didn't end in "happily ever after", that's why they're called 'fairy tales'. We have fairy tales to cheer us up, but our lives can't go on without sadness, hatred, anger, or grief. That's what makes us real.~

~Furmingbia

Furmingbia peeked into the folds of her cloak, searching for the crystal ball she keeps for emergency trade.

"Here's my emerald one, the sapphire one, the ruby one, the citrine one, the obsidian one, the azure one, the topaz one, the amethyst one, the box of pearls, hmm… No crystals though."

The mousemaid felt a rose quartz heart with a happy grin and took it out. "This will have to do."

The maid gave the heart to the trader, who gave her a sack of flour back.

Taking it, Furmingbia left the cave as quickly and silently as she came. Survival is the only thing, when in a place like this…

Furmingbia whirled her cloak grimly and smiled against the odds. She was good at surviving.

"The Grass is green,

The Sun has been

Gentler ever since…

"The Wind has blown…

The Trees have grown…

And Flowers don't bow to a wince.

"Ever since… Ever since…

The End.

"So maybe the way

For us to realize,

Is the End, is the End…

Then maybe we…

Will finally know…

The Promises of a Wish…"

Furmingbia liked that song, she wrote it herself when she was younger. Back at her well-hid camp she took the bag of flour and mixed half with water, then added yeast and baked it. The result was a pleasantly-smelling bread which the mouse ate quickly, then she gathered her items and slung the large canteen of water across her back, exiting her camp and heading towards the direction of safety—Redwall Abbey.
