Shock Roulette and Hershey's Kisses
A one shot by Grey EyedProm was in a few days, and Quinn Pensky was happy. She flew past busy students on her skateboard, hopped onto the stair rail, and performed a perfect Plasma Spin, and then continued to roll until she reached Lola and James.
"Hey, Quinn!" Lola exclaimed, placing her finger onto the Shock Roulette board.
"Nice Plasma Spin!" James complimented. She smiled, and shook her hair out of her helmet.
"Thanks! What'ca playin?" she asked, indicating the strange game.
"Shock Roulette. You place your finger on the pad, and press the button. Then, someone gets a horrible shock. Except, on rare occasions, when everyone gets it. The Quad Shock," Lola explained, and Quinn eagerly sat down to play this strange new game. "One…two…THREE!"
"OW!" they all shouted, pulling out their fingers. Their eyes flicked around, catching each other's gazes, and they started over.
"AH!" James squealed, jumping up and down on his butt. The girls laughed hysterically, as they set up to play again. This continued for about an hour, an hour filled with shocks and screams, but most of all, laughter and friendship.
Logan spotted his friends, and walked up to them.
"Hey!" he greeted, giving a small wave.
"Hi," his friends replied at once.
"What are you playing?" They all looked up at him.
"Shock Roulette. Everyone puts their fingers in, you press the button, and someone gets a horrible shock, except on rare occasions when everyone gets one. The Quad Shock," his girlfriend replied. "You wanna play?"
"I dunno…" he was reluctant to play anything that could danger his movie star good looks.
"C'mon, dude! You scared?" James taunted, with a mocking tone in his voice.
"Please, Logan?" Lola asked.
"Pretty pretty pretty pretty puh-lease with Hershey's kisses on top?" Quinn pleaded meekly, like a cute three year old, looking up at him with her huge puppy dog eyes, which he could not resist. They shared a wink, both understanding what Hershey's kisses really meant.
"Fine," he huffed, sitting down and placing his finger in the last slot.
"AH!" they yelled, nursing their hurt fingers. Quinn smiled mischievously, and looked at them all, as they started up again.
"This game is horrible!" Logan complained, but he was still the first person to place his finger on the board. After a few more rounds, they all went their separate ways.
"Come on!" Quinn whined, and grabbed her boyfriend's hand (once everyone was meeting for a concert in the park, and the streets were desserted) and he took off running, pulling her on her skateboard along behind him. She dropped his hand, and grinded down another stair railing, and performing a handstand flip off the top, landing on her board perfectly.
"I still don't know how you do it," Logan said, as they walked the rest of the way.
"Well, besides being mostly physics and angles, and aerodynamics, I spent long summer days with my friends perfecting these things," she explained, laughing. "Besides, you couldn't handle it. It takes forever to get you to my level, and I have lots of scars, and have had three broken legs, and five broken arms. Not to mention all of the blood, broken toes, fingers, and ribs." Logan was horrified when she showed him her surgery scars from one nasty leg break, and the fading scars on her stomach from broken ribs.
They ended up in a secluded part of campus, and disappeared into each other's company. And, let's not forget the Hershey's Kisses.
I thought it would be awesome if Quinn had a cool side too. Yeah, I just thought this up when we were out to dinner. I do not own Zoey 101.
