Meme stared down at the ground as she reimagined what everything had been like: the lovely times spent together, the heartbreak of her parting from this world, and the laughter from time spent together.

Her smile grew sadder as she struggled to come up with the exact tint of black that Tsugumi's hair contained and the exact way her warm brown eyes lit up.

The way that her soft skin appeared delicately in and of itself, and the way that her small body looked and then later on felt when they cuddled.

She could nearly see but not quite what her lover had looked like, and her heart broke further at the thought, so she tried to distract herself.

Meme failed at doing so while her mind became further dragged on the exact details of her best friend and girlfriend's appearance before her death years ago though she became half startled out of her reverie when Anya knocked on her door and paid a visit.

The blond princess still held an astounding beauty and despite their differences and the fact that they'd had to share Tsugumi, they still remain great friends even after her passing.

"She's still in there, isn't she?" Anya stepped forward and handed a small picture to Meme that was enough to make her smile, slightly and nearly sadly.

There, the three of them stood, outside on one of the many occasions that they'd spent together.

Meme cried silently as she realized that her life was left incomplete by Tsugumi's passing and at the brush of Anya's hand on her shoulder, she curled up there as she began to cry harder.

Anya did not stop whispering sweet and soothing words in her ears to try to soothe the ache that the two of them knew would not be going away any time soon.

Slowly, the afternoon crept on with two heartbroken girls holding on to each other and a small picture that told them exactly how their beloved had looked in life with every beautiful and toned down quality of hers.

They held on to each other as if they were the last two people alive after such devastation and destruction; they only had each other left, friends desiring to keep living with every stepping stone and awful milestone before them.

Anya and Meme were left to pick up the pieces as two heartbroken best friends that had once shared a lover.
