Extreme angst! Which I'm not use to writing so hopefully it's good.

Pidge used all of her strength as she dragged Lance over the terrain. She was doing her best to contact the Green Lion, but she was so tired. A gust of wind blew right at Pidge, and she tumbled down into the snow, losing her grip on Lance.

The tingling sensation on her skin reminded her that she had lost her helmet some time ago

"Lance" She whispered as she tried to get up. It was useless. No matter how hard she tried to push herself up, she couldn't. She was too weak, and all she could do was think of the events that left them here.

Everything was going as planned. Voltron and the Atlas had shown up to help with a dispute two tribes were having. Both tribes happened to live on an ice planet, Yadjuga, one that the coalition was looking into building a base on. Of course, they couldn't do that until there was peace on the planet. Which was where Voltron and Atlas came into play. While Shiro, Allura, Keith and Veronica were in a meeting with the leaders of the tribe, the other Paladins and the MFE's were doing damage control.

James and Nadia had begun to fly supplies out to camps in the frozen desert, Hunk was helping to hunt what few animals were around, and Ryan and Ina were taking some civilians into the Atlas so they could get medical help. That left Pidge and Lance. Originally they were going to help build some shelter's, but that was before a Yaju woman came up to them.

Like the rest of her people, she looked like what you would imagine a Yeti to look like, only smaller. She was sobbing, and hugging herself tightly. When the two Paladins asked what was wrong, she explained how two of her children had disappeared, neither were even ten deca-phoebs, and she hadn't seen them in two days.

Pidge believed it to be a hopeless quest, but Lance had pointed out that the Yaju's had thick skin, and many layers of fur, so there was a chance that the children were warm enough to survive. Pidge had caved after that and accompanied Lance.

For a while all was fine as the Red and Green Lions flew as close to the surface of the planet as they could. Pidge and Lance kept their eye's open and scanners on, trying their best to find a clue as to where the children were. Then the storm hit.

The wind was so fierce, and snow so thick, that neither of the Paladins could even see. Lance declared it too dangerous to fly, and together they had landed to wait out the storm.

A screaming sound had pierced through the wind while they were waiting, and against Pidge's pleas Lance exited Red in search of source. He thought that it might be one of the kids and didn't want to wait for things to clear up.

Pidge knew that she shouldn't follow him, but she still did. All she grabbed on her way out were three warm blankets. Thankfully Lance hadn't gotten far, and Pidge had gotten lucky. She had grabbed onto his hand the moment he was in sight, and it wasn't until a few minutes later when they realized they had no idea where the lions were.

Lance tried to lighten up the situation, but it was no use. The pair knew from past experience that their suits wouldn't keep them warm forever. Pidge wanted to make a shelter, but Lance talked her into continuing through the storm. He was certain that the scream had come from one of the children. He was wrong.

It attacked an hour later. A creature that neither of them had ever seen before. It was ten feet tall, had arms and legs looked liked frozen ice, and resembled a big spider. It's eye's were black, and, like the Yaju's, it was covered in fur. When it opened it's mouth, rows upon rows of razor sharp teeth were revealed, along with a spiked tongue. Pidge and Lance fought it the best they could, but it did damage before they were able to kill it. The creature had manage to bite Lance's arm, going right through the armor. Pidge had screamed, and gave the killing thrust, before running to Lance. She wrapped his arm up in a blanket, and wrapped the other two around his body, watching as he went into shock.

"You'll be okay." She had said, knowing that he wouldn't. On one hand she knew she shouldn't move him, but on the other hand she knew that she needed to. It was too dangerous to stay put.

"No I won't." He replied, fighting to keep his eye's open.

"Don't you dare talk like that! We'll find a shelter and contact our Lions. They in turn can alert the others." Pidge was trying to remain calm, though she was sure that he could hear fear in her voice. Lance was losing blood quickly, and Pidge was struggling to contact Green.

"I'm losing too much blood."

"Lance-"

"Katie please." Pidge looked down at him and stopped walking. "If I don't make it, tell my family that I love them and tell the other's that they are the best friends a guy could have." Pidge could feel tears swell up in her eye's. "Your not going to die." She stated, but Lance had already lost consciousness.

Pidge didn't know what she felt as she replayed the last conversation she had with Lance, all she knew was that she couldn't let him die. She closed her eye's, willing everything to go away from her mind as she reached out to her Lion.

At first there was nothing, but then she felt a familiar pull. "Help." She whispered, feeling her Lion's concern. "Please... help..."

Pidge could feel her Lion's panic, just like she could feel her own. Pidge felt the cold winds blow around her, and weariness started to settle in. Green did her best to keep Pidge awake, roaring loudly in her Paladin's mind, sending images, feelings, messages. The Lion did everything she could think of, but none of it worked, and Pidge drifted off into a deep sleep.
