I need a drink

Angelina was talking and talking about Little Freddy and Alicia was touching her belly all the time (like she needed cheek that the baby kept there, inside her). Both girls were excited and happy. Angelina was very glad giving Alicia her best advices about how look after a baby and Alicia seemed as glad as her listening. Katie wasn´t excited, or happy, or glad. She only was tired. She had been listening about babies al evening and she had had enough of that.
"I need a drink" she said, but her friends didn´t even noticed.
Katie stood up and walked until she reached the drinks table. There, she was surprised to see Percy Weasley, who seemed as bored as herself.
"Percy, I haven´t seen you since the last birthday of Freddy" Greeted the girl.
"Yes, I have being very busy with the next visit to Greece that the minister will do. How are you? How are the things in the team?"
"Oh, this year we are working harder than ever. I think we can be in the final at last. You would know that if you saw at least one match."
"Sports aren´t my cup of tea, sorry, but good luck, I hope you win this year. You deserve it. You have always been very good."
"How do you know that if you never see the matches?"
"I saw you at Hogwarts. Penny, my girlfriend in six year, were very into Quidditch and I went with her to the matches."
"I remember her. She was a clever girl and you were a beautiful couple. I always wondered why you broke up."
Katie wasn´t a gossip but she remembered that everybody was surprised when the perfect prefect couple broke up without giving a reason.
"We had some problems."
Percy seemed not willing to talk about that so Katie didn´t continue asking. However, the boy kept talking:
"I always thought that you and Oliver fell in love with each other when we were at school, did you fall in love with him?"
The question took Katie by surprise. She didn´t expect Percy asked something like that. Finally she replied with a sad smile.
"I did. I loved Oliver, but Oliver loved quidditch and that was his only love."
"I think he didn´t change in that" Said Percy.
"No" laughed Katie "He live for quidditch. I heard a rumor some months ago about he and a Italian girl but it was only a rumor. He have never had a serious girlfriend and look at him, he is very happy with his life."
"Yeah, there are people that aren´t made for love."
"Are you one of those?
"No, I have a girlfriend, Audrey, and I am as happy as Oliver."
Katie smiled. Percy had a girlfriend, Angelina and George had a baby and Alicia was expecting one. Even Oliver had his quidditch, his team won the final last year. Katie´s team was improving, but it was still bad and the words that she said to Percy, that she said to everyone, were only a mantra that she told herself in order that her life seemed more attractive. She didn´t want to think in negative, but Angelina had a work in an important sports magazine, Alicia was her broom shop, Percy his job in the ministry and Oliver worked in his fabulous team. Even George, who was who cared less about future when they were at school, had his shop. What did she have? Nothing. Definitely, she needed other drink.
