How did this happen again?
Rikuo couldn't remember. No one really could. But, it's been a few good months since Kubinashi and Itaku started dating. Odd as they seemed to despise each other at the beginning. It was odd too that the two most unromantic seeming youkai were incredibly romantic with one another.
It was cute, though— Itaku coming from Toono just to see Kubinashi, and sometimes even switched roles.
Cute, but got disgustingly so a lot of times.
The occasional kisses and sheepish grins they shared was cute. Kubinashi playing with Itaku's hair and humming was cute.
But right now was one of those disgusting types of cute.
Itaku had, like almost always, come from Toono to see Kubinashi. Kubinashi hearing that has now been spending the whole day around the mansion with his weasel boyfriend.
Rikuo had the misfortune to see the sickening romance at its worst; Kubinashi holding Itaku's head in-between his hands, forehead resting against his, both smiling like absolute dorks and sharing soft and quick kisses with one another.
Cute and so gross because it was cute.
Sure, sometimes him and Zen got pretty grossly sentimental, but that was very rare. They still acted like dumb kids horsing around with each other until Zen had to catch his breath from a coughing fit from straining himself.
But those times weren't like these.
One time Rikuo had actually caught them sleeping together— no, nothing sexual— Itaku and Kubinashi were cuddling, bodies pressed against each other and limbs lazily wrapped around each other.
Even in sleep they were disgustingly cute.
Rikuo began to wonder if they've ever worn each other's clothing. Sounds like something they'd do. Though, they always seemed to try and keep their syrupy romance away from the rest, it never seemed to fully work with Rikuo.
Did the other Toono youkai have to bear witness to this stuff too? He'd ask them, next time he saw them.
