"I-Isabella?"
She knew it. Phineas was suffering. Hard. It all started last summer.
Flashback
"Hey Phineas, whatcha doin?" she asked.
"Oh hi Isabella! Ferb and I are working on a way to play movies directly into your head!" he replied, "You want to help?"
"YES! Oh, uh, I mean, yeah sure, whatever. You got Stumpleberry Finkfat?"
End Flashback
Little did she know they implanted a chip in Phineas' head before she got there. It was bugged and he didn't know it. It became self aware, like most of their inventions, but this one wasn't harmless. THIS one was dangerous. It grew right into his brain and rooted to his memories. It doesn't seem too bad, but when your own brother forgets you, you know something's up. Ferb found out first for that exact reason.
"Hey," Ferb said.
"Hi, who are you?" Phineas replied with a glassy far-away look in his eyes, "Wait, who am I?"
"Phineas, stop joking," Ferb said worriedly.
"Is he Phineas?" He said, picking up Perry, "He looks more like a Bartholemew."
Candace walked into the room. She looked at Ferb's worried expression, then at Phineas holding Perry.
"Soo, what are you guys up to today?" She asked them, tilting her feet forwards and backwards, making herself bounce.
"Phineas doesn't remember who he is," Ferb said. Candace stared at him, a bit shocked. He never spoke, it was always his stepbrother.
"Ferb, why are you trying to trick me, wait, is that Buford in the costume again?" She asked him, looking into his mouth, "Please tell me it's Buford."
"No Candace, it's me, Ferb. What's going on with Phineas. Ask him a question! Please!"
Candace looked at Phineas, who was dancing with Perry and singing like a kindergartener, "Umm, Phin?" Helooked up, "What have you built this summer?" She asked because she would know if he messed up.
"Answer the old lady, Phineas," He said to Perry, "He says nothing."
Candace, slightly insulted, asked another question, "Uh, how old are you?" She asked, pointing directly at Phineas.
"Err, five?" He asked, counting on his fingers.
Candace bit her lip. She then tried to jog his memory, "I'm Candace Flynn, you are my brother, Phineas Flynn. Over there is your brother, Ferb Fletcher. You guys build crazy inventions every day and I try to get you in trouble for it," She said, "Ring a bell?" Phineas stared at her with the same blank expression he gave Ferb.
"I don't hear a bell, do you?" He asked Perry.
"We need to get him to the hospital, Ferb," Candace said worriedly. Ferb nodded.
