Rose Weasley
The best moment of my life was the day in second year when I got in trouble in the lake and I realised my destiny.
Flashback
"Hey Rose, look! I'm going to jump!"
Albus Potter, my best friend, was standing at the edge of the lake on one of the high rocks pretending to fall into the lake.
"Stop it you fool" I yelled, I had always been the one with the brains in this friendship. Not that I didn't like Albus, he was my best friend, just sometimes I wondered why.
"Potter," said a snide voice from the other edge of the lake. "Will you ever grow up or should I knock some sense into you."
"Malfoy, shut up." Shouted Albus, trying to look menacing.
I smiled silently to myself, Albus had never been great with the come backs, sometimes I reckoned I should just argue for him.
"Leave it Albus," I said. "There's no point getting into a fight with Scorpius, it'll only end up badly.
I had always refused to call him Malfoy, I'd long ago decided that using last names was just being childish.
Malfoy turned away and Albus carried on pretending to fall into the lake, he knew it would scare me as I'd always been scared of the water. My one fear, I thought I'd never be able to conquer it.
Albus ran up to me and pulled me towards the edge, "Just look into it Rose, see! It's not that scary."
I stared into the depths and all I saw was fear, I was suddenly froze and just then I lost my footing and slowly as if in a dream, fell slowly into the lake.
I heard Albus scream as I fell in, he had never learnt to swim and I thought in that moment I was going to die. I kept thinking of all the dangers of the lake I had read about in Hogwarts, a History.
I was struggling to swim but seemed to be paralysed by my own fear.
Just as I was about to lose hope I felt a hand on my arm, pulling me upwards, my head whipped around.
I opened my mouth in shock at who it was and the water entered it, Scorpius Malfoy had took hold of my arm and was pulling me upwards.
As we breached the surface of the water he made eye contact with me and it was if everything had become clear, I loved him and I always would. His grey eyes seemed to bore holes right into my very soul.
"Scorpius..." I whispered, not trusting myself to talk properly yet.
"Hush," he said.
He lifted me out of the water and returned me to Albus who was sobbing, as I was embraced by Albus I realised I had to forget Scorpius for now, but one day I would be with him.
So that was the best day of my life.
Please review. Thanks.
