Hello Everyone,
I have had this story whirling around my head for sometime now and thought it could be fun to try and run with it.
I understand that this is very short but it is only a prologue and my chapters will be an awful lot longer. If you find a spare few moments to leave me a review once you have finished reading, then I would very much appreciate it.
Thank you, Snowdog24
Prologue - Darkness & Confusion.
A throbbing headache was the first thing Kensi Blye became aware of as she slowly started to regain consciousness. She lay very still and her eyes remained closed for several seconds as she mentally braced herself before forcing them open.
Darkness, that was the second thing that she registered and her brow furrowed in confusion. Kensi squinted her eyes tightly for a moment and reopened them again. It seemed as though she was under the impression that the darkness would suddenly fade into the light, if she could just squeeze her eyes tight enough.
Kensi reached her left hand to her head and she added light pressure to the tender area. She accessed that there was a slight bump but there seemed to be no permanent damage, nothing a couple of painkillers couldn't cure. It was then that she attempted to sit up, only it resulted in her smacking her head rather loudly on the roof of something.
"Ow!" Kensi exclaimed, rather loudly.
The situation was starting to alarm her and she found herself reaching for her weapon, almost as if on instinct.
"No...Where?" She whispered to herself as she found her holster was empty. Alarm suddenly turned to panic and she reached for her mobile, yet this too was gone.
Kensi tried to recall what had happened before she awoke in this bizarre situation. She remembered the banter she shared with Deeks this morning and she smiled, despite the current unknown danger.
Her eyes closed again and she pictured Deeks in her mind, she could be blind and yet still know the contours of his handsome face. When she opened her eyes again, Kensi felt a little calmer and she started to reach out into the darkness. It was an enclosed space, that was all she was aware of and she found herself becoming extremely frustrated.
That was when she heard it. It sounded like a car door slamming and her ears suddenly pricked at the noise.
"Hello...Hello!" She hollered twice and waited but she was met with silence.
"Is anyone there?" Kensi called as loudly as she could, desperate for someone to hear her. Yet again, only silence followed and it was then that she noticed how eerily quiet it was.
"Help...Help...Help!" She screeched as she punched the container with her arms and kicked with her feet.
Thank you for reading. I will try to update with my first chapter as soon as I can.
