Harry was slowly munching his way through a pile of pancakes, silently praying that his daughter would behave herself for the next half an hour. Unfortunately for him, today was not his lucky day, and it was only to be a few moments before his troublesome child began to disturb the peace.
An elderly woman shuffled by them as they sat in the restaurant and Lily leapt up to wave a finger at her. "Look how old that lady is Daddy!"
Harry sighed. She was going through a phase where all she did was point at random people, an activity that meant he could no longer go out in public without being constantly embarrassed.
"Sh Lily. We don't say people are old, that's rude" he said sternly. In response, the little girl simply stuck her tongue out at him.
"Daddy's old"
Harry frowned with disapproval, only making his daughter cackle with laughter. Ginny was much better at the whole 'commanding respect' thing than him - nothing he said made his daughter listen to him and so instead he always seemed to descend to her level of childishness.
"How old do you think I am?"
"Really old. Probably at least twenty-one" She replied firmly, with all of the certainty of one who knows that no matter what she says she will win the argument.
Harry sighed, puffing his cheeks out to receive more precious giggles. "You've got me there Lily. I guess compared to you I'm ancient."
