Ch.1 The Shadow
The wind was blowing through the Everfree forest, and one sentient being was there to enjoy it. Though it hadn't occurred to him, he shouldn't be happy since he was homeless, poor, and unloved by his family. Instead he just enjoyed the breeze that existed in the Everfree forest at that time.
He was a Pegasus pony with a life that consisted of enjoying every little thing, to compensate for the sadness and regret that he was now experiencing.
A single bush rustled among the almost silent night, but he did something that would change his life forever. He flew.
Unknowingly he went to the direction of a town whose name was Ponyville.
POV Change: Rainbow dash
Today Rainbow dash was worrying about her past. She tried to fly and perform a sonic rainboom or some other trick but it didn't help her pain-stricken past. She was thinking of her brother. She went to sleep hoping her nightmares won't come back again
Flashback
"GET OUT OF HERE YOU MONSTER!" Rainbow dash's father screamed.
"I'M YO-"A colt known as Hobo dash was cut off as his own father was trying to kill him.
"NO-ONE WILL HURT MY LITTLE DASHIE!" Blitz Mark said as he unknowingly beat his own son.
But before Blitz Mark could land another blow on the mysterious black colt he flew away revealing changeling-like wings that he unknowingly possessed since birth. He flew away, far away so he wouldn't ever see that house again.
End flashback
Rainbow dash woke up in a cold sweat. Having had these short but painful nightmares ever since she was 9 she slowly got used to them.
"Buck." She cursed as she walked out of her cloud house to relax while flying.
A/N Well that was the first chapter of my first fanfic. I know it was short but I didn't have that much inspiration. I will update on the weekends usually. Bye!
