It had been a month since Kakashi left on his mission, and Iruka was drowning. The dread and anxiety of each day, and what could it could bring. Along with today's lovely 'fun', free day for all academy students that had left him cleaning til five. It was the cause of how he now sat, with his head in his hands, just wanting Kakashi unharmed, and in his arms. Suddenly, two strong arms did appear around his waist. Warm, smooth lips then found his. Iruka was, then, spun around and lifted into Kakashi's arms.
He didn't even notice the 'poof' or change of scenery as he just held tighter to his love to try and show how much he wanted and needed the other. Kakashi also wanting... or truly needing Iruka, and understanding how he felt continued to get them to the bedroom. Iruka then started on letting the sounds of clothes and gear falling to the floor combine with the sounds of their lips moving continously against each others. Before long no space could be found between the two lovers, as they lay on their bed. Finally, they were completely happy, and continued with their night of restoration.
For Kakashi the past month was filled with a special mission from the hokage. He was assigned four scrolls each designated for a individual kage. This led to many battles requiring he use all his past experience and focus on the smaller details in his techniques. His dolphin waiting at home in their bed is what drove him to finish the mission sooner than normal. Then, once he completed the mission, he then rushed to find Iruka and hold close what keeps him alive.
Iruka's month was very much different. He delt with worry about Kakashi, Mission room mayhem, and children at the academy. The academy children were always pulling pranks, on each other and himself, screaming, and running around. The only reason they even did all this was because they are purely children and can't really help it. Missions room was okay, as long as Genma was kept under control or preferably away. The worry was always the worst, always there, leaving questions about what could happen "if Kakashi did or didn't do this or that". That is why he would push the thought away, and cherish every moment he and Kakashi had together.
The moments, like now, with them finally being more than over joyed at getting what they wanted, no needed, which was each other. To just hear the other's heart beating, feel their warm embrace leaving them breathless. See each others faces, a reminder they don't have to live alone and without love. But, they can and do live with both another and another's love. Were they can want and need, and those wants and needs are fulfilled by the person who truly loves them.
