Quinn sat up in the small bed and allowed the sheets to fall from her body. She sighed as she turned to look at the tiny brunette form sleeping soundly just inches from where she sat and she let a tear slide from her eye.

She wanted to desperately for this to work whatever she and Rachel had out but as soon as Quinn would open her mouth to talk about it Rachel would silence her with a kiss and then slowly lead her to the bedroom with that dark look in her eyes. Somehow, Rachel's kiss broke her resolve and Quinn couldn't resist her. As soon as her soft lips were pressed against her own she couldn't stop her; she didn't want to.

Rachel was the last person Quinn thought would use her this way and after Puck she swore no one ever would. Somehow though, Quinn couldn't bring herself to lose the small part of Rachel she had and if that meant sleeping with her and then being left; so be it. Quinn was a big girl, she could take it. She wanted to take it. She had wanted Rachel to like her so desperately she had sacrificed all of her morals for her.

She let more tears fall silently as she stared down at the sleeping girl with an intensity that was sure to burn holes through the girl. She was beautiful even in her sleep and Quinn resisted the urge to lie back down and hold her until the brunette woke and snuck out for the hundredth time. Some nights she would leave right after an emotional and sensual encounter and Quinn would be forced to watch that part of her walk out of the door, holding back the burning tears until she heard the engine of her car start up. Quinn knew she should be thankful for what she was being given tonight because Rachel had stayed but Quinn wasn't grateful; she almost wished she would have walked out that door again.

She brought the sheet up to cover her with trembling hands before standing up; having decided to sleep in the guest room. She chanced another glace at the brunette who has stirred and was now looking at her curiously as she stood before her in a sheet. Quinn's entire body quivered under her gaze and she almost went back to the bed so she could feel those lips on her once more before the inevitable departure in the morning. She sighed and turned to leave but the brunette had caught her wrist and was now holding Quinn in place and she kneeled on the edge of the bed, not bothering to cover herself.

"Rachel, let go; it's not worth it." Rachel saw the tears begin to streak down Quinn's pale cheeks again and she frowned deeper as she grabbed Quinn's other wrist, turning the blonde to face her. Quinn dropped her sheet and stood before the brunette crying; she was beyond embarrassed as the emotions she had so desperately wanted to hide slid into her eyes, pooling in the hazel.

"It's not perfect but stay." Rachel reached up and wiped the tears from her cheeks and brought Quinn closer so that her knees were pressed against the end of the bed. Rachel wrapped her arms around Quinn's small waist and pressed her cheek against Quinn's abdomen. The blonde slowly brought her hands up and smoothed Rachel's dark hair before pressing her head lightly into her. Rachel began to trace shapes on her lower back and Quinn sighed deeply as she allowed more tears to silently fall into the dark brunette curls. They stayed like that for what seemed like hours but Quinn was sure the sheer intimacy of the moment had caused Quinn's mind to forget what time was and trick her into thinking it was longer than it was.

"I never want to leave this bed." Quinn was shocked at the words that Rachel had spoken and wondered if they had even been said at all. The blonde pushed her backward onto the soft mattress before settling her lean body on top of her, resting her head on her chest to listen to her heart beat.

"Then don't."
