I stood in front of a tombstone. There was a slight breeze that kicked up a few leaves. I looked at the inscription on the tombstone.

Here lies Queen Aleena

Age 37

Who fought for what is right

A tear fell down my cheek and landed on the grass in front of the stone.

''You didn't die in vain, Amilia.'' I said. ''Robotnik is on our side now. Everything's fine. I just wish you were here to see your dream come true.''

''She will always be here, Jake.'' a croaky voice said from behind me. I turned around. The Oracle of Delphius stood there. ''She will always remain in the hearts of her friends and family.'' he said, walking next to me.

I looked back at the grave. ''I know.'' I said. ''But it's not the sameas her actually being here.''

The Oracle nodded. ''I understand. It's never easy when a loved one dies. But you must remember one thing. Never let it drag you down. It's okay to feel sorry, but you can't allow your sorrow to take you over.''

''He's right, Jake.'' Cosmo said, walking to us. ''You taught me that. You should listen to your own advice.''

I smiled. After we had defeated Robotnik and the Metarex, I had practically adopted Cosmo. She had no biological family anymore, and Sonic and the others were often out now, so Cosmo and I were the only ones in the warehouse we all called home for a good portion of the day. We had had plenty of time for a friendship to grow, and eventually, we basically became family. We both taught each other, as well as everyone else. ''I know. Why don't we go back to the house?''

''And lose this precious moment?'' a voice I didn't recognize said from behind me, towards Aleena's grave. I whirled around. There, sitting on the tombstone, was a blue creature that looked similar to Sonic, but was entirely sky blue and had two spikes on its back. I instantly recognized him, though I had only seen him from a single file I found while I was still back on Earth.

''Nazo.'' I said, allowing my Higgs energy to flow to my hand and form a ball.

Nazo smiled and closed his eyes, then opened them and slipped off the tombstone, landing on his feet next to it.

''Now, now. There's no need for violence, Jake. I never said I was here to hurt anybody or take anything. No matter what some random person who made a flash animation thinks, I'm not as evil as people assume. It's my intimidating looks that are the cause of that rumor.'' Nazo turned to the grave. ''Aleena was a good woman. She did well in her path. I hope you continue to do well in yours, Jake.''

Nazo backed away from the tombstone and looked back at me. ''I came to tell you something, which you can relay to anybody you please. Robotnik and the Metarex weren't the real enemy. They're nothing compared to what's coming.''

With that, Nazo used Chaos Control and disappeared.
