Screw It
Alternate Caskett Moment from Cops and Robbers
"Castle? Castle? CASTLE?", Beckett cried out as her heart kept pounding in her head. I don't see Castle. Where is he? What will I tell Alexis if he's dead? What will I do if he's dead?
"Beckett?" Oh thank God. Beckett let a breath go she didn't know she was holding. Her heart unclenched and she felt immediately better. Beckett thought she heard him from the other corner of the bank. She rushed over to where she hear his voice coming from and spotted the hostages sitting together in the safety deposit box room.
"They're here!", Beckett called out to the SWAT team.
"I told you! Huh?", Castle laughed. Beckett felt even better when she heard Castle's laugh. Never had a laugh sounded so beautiful. Never had she been so relieved instead of annoyed to hear Castle's laugh.
Beckett knelt down in front of Castle as close as she could and looked into his eyes. He looked so genuinely happy to see her. Not that Castle didn't think she's save him. He trusted Beckett with his life and knew that, no matter what, she would save him.
Beckett, on the other hand, never looked more relieved in her life. Seeing Castle's face again made her heart flutter. And it showed in her eyes. She smiled at him with a smile that she rarely ever used, while she pulled out her knife. "Here you go. Ready? Okay.", Beckett said as she cut Castle out of his restraints.
Not being able to contain herself, Beckett reached out and stroked his lapel with her right hand. "How are you?", she whispers as she continued to moved her hand higher up to stoke his collar. His eyes lit up and starred harder into those gorgeous green eyes of hers
Beckett can't help but smile again as she remembers that he's alive. She didn't know what was going on in her mind. For once in her life, Katherine Beckett reacted to her feelings with out thinking of the consequences.
"Screw it", Beckett breathed as she took a firmer grasp on his collar and pulled him into a mind-blowing kiss. Her left hand automatically came up to his head to cradle him to her. Castle immediately responded to the kiss and kissed her back with all the passion that he had been holding back for years, his hand coming up to run through her soft hair.
When Castle ran his tongue along her bottom lip, Beckett opened her mouth to him and deepened the kiss. It was so unlike Beckett to do something so spontaneous and so meaningful all at once. But her emotions were overpowering her logic. And she was thoroughly enjoying every second of it.
When they finally parted, Beckett rested her forehead on Castle's. "I'm so glad you're alive", she whispered.
"I'm so glad you finally decided to confess you're feelings to me."
