I watched the "Goosebumps" movies last night… so ya, this was the result. So here have another dumb short story.
"I wonder what Antauri keeps in that old chest in his room?" Chiro thought out loud.
"Don't know. Why don't you ask him?" Sparks asked, startling Chiro as he walked into the kitchen. (The hub of every secret conversation)
"He always somehow avoids the question." Chiro responded.
"Well it looks like he's hiding something." Sparks smirked.
Sparks looked like he was getting a devious idea; Chiro raised a brow in caution/concern.
"What are you thinking?" Chiro asked.
"I'm thinking we go find out for ourselves. It's his turn to be on patrol; so when he leaves we sneak into his room and open it. " Sparks answered.
Chiro smiled and nodded.
ABOUT A HOUR LATER
Chiro and Sparks waited for Antauri to go out on patrol before sneaking towards his room. They entered the room and sat in front of the chest, but it was locked.
"What if it's dangerous?" Chiro wondered.
"He would have done a lot more to keep it safe." Sparks answered.
"Good point." Chiro added.
"Were gonna need to break the lock." Sparks.
"No need. I can pick the lock." Chiro started to pick the lock.
"You can pick a lock?" Sparks asked amazed
"Youtube." Chiro answered.
"Oh"
The two slowly opened the lid, and their eyes opened wide. Sparks fell on the floor in hysteria of laughter, while Chiro just looked confused.
Antauri got back to the robot and made his way to his room. He heard laughter and snickering from inside, he sighed defeated as he opened his door. Sparks was practically dying and Chiro just looked confused.
Chiro picked up one of the books from the chest and read the title: "Goosebumps?"
"Thoses..haha..are..hehe for kids!" Sparks said between snickers.
"Their entertaining…" Antauri trying to defend his interests.
"Little shop of hamsters? Night of the living dummy? It came from beneath the sink? What are these things? " Chiro asked.
"A book series." Antauri answered,
"A 'scary' book series for tweens!" Sparks adds.
"You like children's books?" Chiro started the snicker.
"Ok you two have had you're fun, now go play video games or something." Antauri pushed them out the door and shook his head in irritation.
"Why didn't you stop them?" Antauri turned his attention to his bed.
Nightshade appeared from behind the rim of the bed, she looked sleepy.
"I was taking a nap." Nightshade answered sleepily.
"I don't mind you sleeping in here, but you have a room." Antauri added.
"I am a cat, I sleep where I wish." She answered and then went back to sleep.
He chuckled and decided to read, you can probably guess what.
