Where Are You Zen?
Disclaimer: I do not own Ben 10 Alien Force and its characters.
This is my second FanFic. I think it'll be better than the first.
"Hey mom," said Devlin. "Did you see Zen?"
"Weren't you guys playing hide and seek?" asked Gwen. "Yeah but I can't find her," said Devlin pouting. "Try some more," suggested Kevin from his place on the couch. "You wouldn't want to lose to a girl now would you?"
That was the right medicine. Devlin dashed out of the room right then. Gwen laughed and asked her husband, "You boys just don't want to accept that we girls can beat you sometimes." "At least Devlin doesn't want to," said Kevin with a smirk.
After ten minutes, Devlin was back. "I can't find her," he whined. "Come on dad. Please, help me." "OK, OK," said Kevin as he allowed himself to get dragged away by his son. But after a while he had to ask Gwen to help him out to find their daughter. Even Kevin Levin couldn't find her.
They searched the whole house but still couldn't find her. They called her but Zenita Levin was nowhere in sight. "Where is she?" asked Gwen now worried sick. "She couldn't have got out of the house," said Kevin. "Our home's security is tough. So, she has to be somewhere inside."
After about half an hour Gwen gave up and plopped herself down on the couch. She fought back her tears but buried her face in her hands. Where was her daughter? Suddenly, she felt something on her lap. She lowered her hands to see a head laying there. It was Zenita! But her eyes were closed.
"Don't worry," said Kevin who was the one who had found her and carried the girl to her anxious mother. "She's asleep." "Where was she?" asked Gwen. "She was under our bed," replied Kevin. "And she fell asleep." Gwen was perplexed.
Zenita slowly opened her eyes and sat up. She was greeted by her brother with his head tilted on one side, her grinning father and her mother with such a weird face that was indescribable. Actually, Gwen was both confused and relieved at the same. So her face was, well, weird.
"What's going on?" asked Zenita. "Let's see," said Devlin scratching his chin. "Maybe we can call this a modified version of Sleeping Beauty."
Please review. I'd be pleased.
