He flew as fast as his feet could take him half running half stumbling through fields of sheep while getting screamed at by farmer's wives and shepherd's sons. The boy held his aching side as red ooze seeped through the gash there. Running he found the tree that should not have been there, it was crooked, petrified, and smelled of the ashes that took his brother from him so long ago.
The honey eyed boy collapsed a few feet away from the tree, clawing at the grass to get to an opening that may or may not have actually been there. It took all the power left in his slowly draining body to place himself directly under the second branch to the left. The branch that held on it a canary.
Breathing heavily, the boy smiled to the bird and reached up whispering words that he could no longer understand. Everything seemed to go gray for a moment before...
"How dreary...you decided to die here?" A voice made of the wind and soft as silk spoke mockingly. The boy opened his eyes fully to see a man that was hauntingly familiar to him. The man who's skin was as smooth as porcelain and lips the color of a virgin's first blush, looked directly into the boy's eyes and turned an impossible pink-purple color. His eyes should have terrified Blaine, but that fact that he was on the edge of death took precedent over his actual sanity.
"Oh, how sad." That voice again. "You're in pain." The man flipped his perfectly sculpted chin up to reveal some strange tattoo. "I'll make this quick."
Blaine spurted blood from his mouth as the blonde man looking down at him began speaking.
"I am a demon." The man's eyes turned the strange color simultaneously with his spoken words. "I wish to enter in a contract with you. You may add any stipulations you wish, however..." He licked his left canine. "I get to eat your soul once we have fulfilled the contract. Until then I will be your faithful butler and grant your every command."
Again blood gushed from the pretty mouth of the tiny teen. Blaine didn't want to die, it wasn't his time, not yet, he had so many things to do, so may people to kill. The memory of vengeance came to him with a great force, engulfing him like a mother who refused to lose her child. He smiled at the memory and without thinking the ringlets that were attached to the boy's head moved slightly to give the signal of yes.
"Very well." The demon came down upon Blaine, licking the wound on his left side before placing his hand over the gash. "Create the contract." The man ordered.
You will allow for all members of Anderson house to die by my hands and the hands of those who serve me. Only after I discover and destroy the one who has killed my brother will our contract be fulfilled. It is on my soul I sign.
Blaine thought as loudly as possible, for speech was impossible at this stage in his death. The boy above him seemed to understand clearly enough and caused a sharp pain greater than anything Blaine had ever felt before. More blood than before cleared itself from his throat and although his lungs were caked with the taste of iron Blaine could feel the flow of the red stuff ceasing.
Heaving, the way a man did while he was in pain, the honey eyed boy brought his hand to the man's over coat and gripped it tightly. He was tired as the man lifted his weary body. Blaine collapsed on himself in the man's arms before whispering something incoherent.
"I'm sorry Master, but before you retire...may I ask my name." The temporarily faceless voice said.
"Kurt." Blaine whispered before succumbing to the darkness completely.
