I know how bad this is, don't judge me please.
The snow fell quickly and thick, covering the houses and ground of Godric's Hollow with a white coat that reflected against the black of the night. Albus pulled his blanket tighter against him as he watched the snow fall. It had been 7 months since Ariana's death, since the man he loved so dearly had ran away on him, not even saying a proper goodbye. The house felt cold, empty; devoid of love and happiness. The only person that Albus had for company was Aberforth, who resented him and hadn't spoken to him in months. Tears streamed down his face as he thought about his sister, so young, so precious. His tears only increased as he once again thought of Gellert, the ache in his chest only got stronger as he remembered how they would spend hours together reading in the orchard, sneaking out in the middle of the night together and slow dancing in the rain, whispering promises of love and devotion. A tapping noise brought him out of his thoughts, he looked around, thinking that Aberforth might have knocked. Remembering that his brother hated him, he turned back to face the window and was met with an owl holding a small, white envelope. Slipping the window up, the owl dropped the letter on top of the snow covered window pane and flew off into the black night. Confused, he opened it to reveal a small Christmas card with a lit candle surrounded by Holly leaves illustration. His eyes welled up as he read the card, before dropping it onto the floor and covering his face:
"My dearest Albus,
I hope that you have a lovely Christmas, and a happy New Year's.
I still love you.
~Gellert."
