Nothing but waves as far as the eye could see.

The setting sun of the planet cast a soft light on the water dancing against the shore of the city.

She leaned on the rail, her eyes looking out on the ocean, the soft breeze ruffling her light braid.

Water.

And sunset.

It was beautiful.

Just not the sunset she wanted.

She wanted the waves splashing on an ancient dock, instead of against an ancient city.

She wanted to sit in an old creaky chair barefoot, and watch the sunset holding hands with the person she loved.

She smiled as she reached for the present that he had given her to use on her private balcony here.

And strung a lure on her very own fishing pole.
