Author's Note! Thanks to all of ya'll who added me onto their fave authors and reviewed! Here's another Fred/Angelina romance!

It was time for the Yule Ball. Everyone was buzzing with excitement. Angelina was hoping the funny, sexy, and infamous Fred Weasley would ask her. He and Angelina have liked each other for years, but the other had no idea. They were sitting together in the Great Hall with Katie and Lee, who were going together, and Alicia and George, who were going together. About half way through breakfast, Ravenclaw Mark Goodman came up to Angelina.

"Hello Angelina," he started formally.

"Hi Mark," Angelina said as she turned around in her seat.

"You should go to the ball with me," he said bluntly. Angelina was shocked. This handsome boy could have any girl he wanted, yet he picked her.

"Thank you so much for the offer. I'm very flattered, but I'll think about it," Angelina forced out. Wait, that wasn't a rejection, she thought to herself.

"Ok, get back to me as soon as you can, love," he said before he briskly walked back to his table.

"Did Mark freaking Goodman just ask you out and did I hear you say you'll think about it?" Alicia said. Katie's mouth was gaping open. She was shocked, they all were.

"He's not all that great," Fred mumbled as he went back to his oatmeal. He was planning on asking Angelina this afternoon. Now another boy has swooped in and grabbed her. Well, she did say she would think about it, all he had to do was make a better offer. Or he could just ask her in a different way, a better way. He could do this. He would do this for her.

That afternoon during free period Angelina went to sit by the lake and think about Mark and Fred. She wasn't out there for long before Fred walked up looking hotter than ever. He was making her shiver when she had a jacket and a coat on. The lake was frozen over with a thin layer of snow over it and she was tracing shapes on it with a stick when Fred went and stood on it over her drawings.

"I'm standing on thin ice, Angie," Fred started.

"No freaking duh, Fred," Angelina replied.

"No, figuratively, and literally, I kind of love you and I'm not going to get to spend the Yule Ball with you because I'm a moron. So, here I am, standing on thin ice—"Fred said before the ice cracked, and he fell.

"Fred!" Angelina screamed, lunging forward to pull him out. She stuck her arm in the freezing cold water and yanked him by the collar out of the water. He was leaning on the ground with half his body freezing in the water. They were at eye-level. He looked into her deep blue eyes and kissed her. It was a gentle kiss, but a meaningful kiss. That kiss held so many years of attraction and small smiles and meaningful eye contact. The kiss became deeper and then Fred paused to pull himself out of the water fully and take Angelina's cheeks in his cold and wet hands to kiss her deeply and wonderfully. He released her and she noticed his lips were turning blue.

"Fred we have to get you to Madame Pomfrey now," Angelina said. They walked back up to the castle with his arm around her waist and her head on his shoulder. They got to Madame Pomfrey and she gave him a hospital gown so he could take off his soaking, freezing clothes and wrap himself in blankets to fight off hypothermia.

"So are you going to the ball with me, Angie?" Fred asked.

"Fred, I thought I made that perfectly clear by making out with you and pulling you out of freezing water!" Angelina said.

"Fair enough," Fred said with a smile. They kissed one last time before Angelina had to hurry off to class. This was exactly what she wanted.
