The purpose of The Forge is to have a place to publish one-shots, Vignettes, drabbles, and Ficlets related to Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire. This is partly inspired by the fact that other authors do something similar. Most if not all of it Will relate to Records of the Eighth Kingdom. Content will also include, random ideas that just don't actually mesh together properly to plot bunnies that just won't leave my head as well as different perspectives presented in a narrative fashion.
Gonna state this now, some of the canon characters may come across as OOC, as it's possible that I will write them wrong at first, hence the main purpose of the short stories is to get some form of feedback, because while I am creating an AU I want to try and keep certain canon characters (i.e Tywin Lannister, Stannis Baratheon) as close to canon interpretation as possible.
The last and most important purpose is that this will help me pick out a narrative style for the fanfic while also providing a small source of content related to Records for the people who have an interest.
