There he was, lying in his bunk after the concert in San Diego. His band was touring the US on the Massacre tour, named after his band's current single. The band was Escape the Fate. His name was Max Green.

He lay there thinking about his sexuality. He realized he was in love with his bandmate, his best friend, Craig Mabbitt. He wasn't straight anymore, or bi; he was now officially gay. He left his girlfriend because all he ever thought about was Craig; his voice, his smile, how cute he looks when he wrinkles his nose.

"I have to tell him," he said quietly. "But how?"

He sighed and got up. He slowly crept down the hall, making sure no one hears him. Craig was in the TV room, watching World's dumbest Criminals. He laughed, and Max smiled.

Max walked into the room and Craig looked up from the TV.

"Hey, man," Craig said.

"Hey," Max replied quietly.

"Sit down, watch this dumbass get stuck in the store he's trying to rob."

Max sat down next to Craig and coughed.

Craig looked at him. "What's up?"

Max sighed and said, "I have to tell you something."

Craig sat up and gave Max a worried look. "Yeah, sure. Anything, man."

Max took a deep breath and said, "Listen, I've been thinking a lot about something. Someone, actually. I have feelings, strong feelings for this person and it's weird because it's a guy."

He paused. "I'm gay, Craig. And the guy…"

He looked directly into Craig's brown eyes. "Is you. I like you, Craig. Well, it's love, actually. So, I love you, Craig."

Craig sat wide-eyed and didn't say a word. After a while, he studdered," I-I need to t-think about this."

He then walked away, not looking back. Max stood up and watched his best friend leave.

"I blew it," he said to himself. "I lost my best friend."

He ran to his bunk and got in, pulling the covers over his head. He silently cried until he fell asleep.

The next day, Max awoke to a bang and Monte yelling, "Dammit!"

Max heard footsteps and Robert saying, "What happened?"

He pulled the curtain to expose his bunk. He saw Monte holding his head.

He said, "It's these damn nightmares. They make me toss and turn until I fall out of my bunk. I think I have head trauma now."

Monte walked into the kitchen and sat at the booth. Robert went to his bunk. Max got out of his bunk and started walking to the kitchen. He walked to the fridge and took out the milk. He grabbed a bowl and a box of Lucky Charms, and set them on the table. He poured the cereal and milk into the bowl, left the stuff on table and grabbed a spoon. He sat down next to Monte, who was holding an ice pack to his head. He started eating his cereal in silence. When his bowl was halfway empty, Craig walked into the room.

"Hey, Max. Did you fall out of your bunk again, Monte?" he asked.

Monte looked up at him. "Yeah."

"Well, maybe we should give you a bottom bunk," Craig said.

"That'd be nice," Monte smiled.

Craig sat down next to Monte, who stood up. "I'm gonna go switch out my bunk."

Craig got up and let Monte go. He sat next to Max, who moved away half an inch.

Craig looked at Max and said, "Max?"

Max looked over at him. "Yeah?"

Before he knew it, Craig's lips were on his, first softly, then with a little more force. Craig slowly pulled away to expose Max's surprised face.

"I love you, too. I was too scared to tell you, but now it feels right. So, will you go out with me?"

"Yes," Max whispered as a tear rolled down his cheek.

"I love you," Craig said as he moved closer to Max, and put his hand on his cheek.

"I love you too," Max smiled, then kissed him passionately.
