She took a deep breath, and made her way to center stage. A girl the age of 14 with long blond long hair. Her lifelong dream finally becoming a reality. As she began to sing the crowd went wild, cheers coming from all direction. Looking at the judges to see their reactions as she finished the song.

(BEEP, BEEP, BEEP)

Her dream was ended by the sound of her alarm clock going off. Looking over at the time she realized she had to get up and get ready for school. As she threw on a white tank with a few music notes on it, black short shorts, and grey VANS she was making her was down the stairs to eat.

"Hey mom, hey dad"

"Hey Honey," they said in unison

"I had the best dream ever! I was on a huge stage and I was sing to thousands of people, with judges watching me."

"Sweetie let mama tell you something. I know you want to be a singer, but it's just not going to happen."

"YES IT WILL MOM! IT WILL!"

She stormed out of her house and started to make her way to school. Waking at a brisk pace a whole group of her good friends walked up next to her. The only one who was actually was paying attention to her and was not on their phone was her best friend Taylor.

"Hey, Kenzie are you ok?"

"Not really"

"Why?"

"You have known that all my life I have wanted to be a singer and all right?"

"Yea"

"Well, my mom basically told me that I will never have the chance to be a singer."

"Really!"

"Yea!"
"Well I have faith in you and so does everyone else. Right guys?" As she looks at the group behind her.

"Right!" they said all together not paying any attention till the last moment.

They all arrived at school right as the bell rang and Kenzie's first class was chorus. Making her way into the classroom the room was filled with everyone clapping. Looking at the teacher in confusion she asked "what is all this?"

"Kenzie, do you recall the audition you sent in to go to state with?"

"Yeah, Why?"

"You got picked!"

"Cool"

Her teacher knew she wasn't acting like herself, pulling her aside she began to cry. Questioning her to see if she was ok she told her about her mother and what she had said. As she sent Kenzie back to her seat the teacher played a few short clips of Kenzie from when she was little to where she had been now and gave her a smile.

"Kenzie everyone believes in you. We are all so proud of you."

"Thank you Mrs. Smith!"
